The Friends of the Polly Ann Trail is a group providing input to the Management Council and considering ways in which they might contribute to enhancing the trail.  The group is informal and we serve snacks!  

TOP TEN NICE THINGS ABOUT THE POLLY ANN TRAIL:  A USER’S VIEW  

          1. Enjoy the fresh air
          2. A good way to meet new people.
          3. Observe the flora and fauna along the trail.
          4. Its safe, no need to dodge traffic.
          5. A time for solitude and reflection can be had.
          6. A great place to relax and exercise.
          7. Walk your dog, ride your horse, all can be done safely.
          8.  Save on gas, go into town and have a coffee or ice cream.
          9.  Adds to ambiance of the area, as if a river runs through it.  
        10.    Visit the highest point in Oxford: The Bridge.

Lapeer Polly Ann Trail News
Lapeer County Commissioners voted seven to zero to manage the entire 20 mile stretch after receiving additional funding from the State to manage the entire Polly Ann Trail in the Lapeer County. Unanimous support by Commissioners is a very good indication. The trail is still in need of significant hard work before it can be utilized along its entirety, but this is a big first step. - Posted 4/13/05.
